Ian Masson

Pastor

Ian has been our Pastor since January 2009 and was called to pastoral ministry from within the Chapel fellowship. He and his wife Lynda both grew up in Norwich and have known each other all their lives! They married in 1978 and have two daughters, two son-in-laws and five grandchildren. They have been worshipping at the Chapel since 1984. They both share a love of music, and Ian is a keen motorcyclist in his spare time.

"People often see Christianity as something you can ignore – a message that’s irrelevant and untrue. But you can experience its reality in Jesus! Christianity really does offer real answers to life’s biggest questions."

David Moore

Deacon

David has lived and worked in Saxlingham all his life. He's a sheep farmer, and these days, he's sort-of retired, but not really! You'll still see him driving his 'Kubota' 4x4 around the lanes and in the fields surrounding the village, keeping an eye on his flocks. He's been 'keeping an eye' on the flock at the Chapel for many years too.

David's also been a local Preacher since the 1970's and many folk in Churches and Chapels around Norfolk and beyond have been blessed by his faithful Gospel ministry.

"So many people have been blessed through the work & witness of the Chapel over the years, and I praise God for all He has done and is doing now."

Nigel Tompsett

Deacon

Nigel was brought up in a Christian home from the age of seven, and is thankful for the consistently evangelical preaching that he sat under
from that age. He resisted the call of the Gospel until the age of 18, when he was saved during a week of mission meetings.

He spent thirty years of his working life as a police officer, and after retirement, was enjoying a part-time job until he felt the call of the Lord to ministry as a Pastor in a Christian care home in Norfolk.

He lives with his wife Julie in an idyllic village in the heart of the Norfolk Broads.

“I never fail to be surprised by how the Lord calls, equips, and enables someone like me to serve a God like Him!”

Tim Bailey

Deacon

Saxlingham Chapel is very much 'home' for Tim. Coming with his family since he was small, he attended Sunday School and Youth Group here; preached God's Word for the first time here; was married here; and is now a committed member of our fellowship with his wife Laura and their three young children.

On Sundays you'll find him operating the livestream and manning the laptop we use to project hymns and slides onto the screen during our services.

"I'm so thankful for the many opportunities I have been blessed with to serve my Lord and Saviour. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the best news ever! He changed my life, and He can change yours too!"
